  The Struggler was a beerhouse used mainly by bargees and the unemployed. It was situated in Mill Lane, Banbury. It had benches round the walls and sawdust on the floor. The original pub sign, a John Bull picture, was replaced by a sign depicting a globe and a man struggling with cuts to his face, arm and leg. This sign is now in Banbury Museum. The beerhouse closed in 1965.
