The height of luxury, a convertible charabanc! If it rained, hoops were attached to the clips on the side of the vehicle, then the soft top was thrown over it.

We only know 7 of the people on the left of this photo. They are Willie Foster (standing, wearing a waistcoat) and his family, Tom Foster and his family, and Sid Foster.

  • Notes
    • Will was a painter/decorator by trade. He spent World War I in the Royal Navy, working as a stoker. After the war, he spent a few years working as a stoker in Newfoundland, before returning to Liverpool, Lancashire, UK.

After his return, he resumed his trade. He later formed his own business, and turned his hand to all manner of building jobs - but he never tackled electrical work, always deferring to his younger brother Sid on electrical matters.
