    Of the 16 siblings, only 10 survived by the time of this photo - but Peter lived in Canada and so is missing. Paula, the proud little girl in front, is Irene's mother. Stefan and Toni, the 2 young men on the back right of the photo, were to die on the Eastern front in World War II.
