• Notes

  Robert Jones was a groom in 1894 at the time of his marriage to Letticia, when he was 21. Later he became a docker. On the docks he was in charge of a lift. He was quite badly hurt saving a man who was in danger of being crushed by the lift. As a reult of his injuries, he was awarded compensation. With this in his hand, he deserted his wife and took a mistress.
